A little about Lauran Chapple:
Originally from Indiana, Lauran took a roundabout road to arrive at acupuncture after graduating with a BA in Philosophy from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH and then an MA in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics. After witnessing the healing effects of acupuncture on her mother who was suffering from an autoimmune disease, she changed her course to Chinese Medicine and graduated from the World Medicine Institute in Honolulu, HI in 2011. She started her acupuncture career in Madison Wisconsin where she worked at one of the largest acupuncture clinics in the Midwest, which specialized in fertility and pregnancy and offered essential oils and Functional Medicine in addition to Chinese Medicine therapies. She started her own clinic, Oceanic Wellness LLC, on Big Island in Hawai'i in 2015.
Some of her specialties include infertility, pregnancy and postpartum-related discomforts, hormone imbalances, mental wellness, immunity-related disorders, digestive problems and pain. Recently, Lauran has added microneedling to her list of offerings through AcuMicro, so she can also offer cosmetic treatments and more options to address acne, hair loss and scars.
In addition to her acupuncture license, Lauran is a mother of two girls, holds a ranking of 7th Degree Black Sash in Spiritual, Medical and Martial Qi Gong, and is trained in Dancing For Birth™ and as a doula.
